Nullar Stuart Enterprises has been established to represent people, and create opportunities for people. They build Aboriginal’s strengths, leadership, wellbeing and resilience amongst individuals and the wider community.

With the organisations goal of becoming self-sufficient in mind Nullar Stuart in 2021 teamed with current like-minded professionals to collaborate and create this dynamic business framework

Nullar Stuart as an organisation believes in the interconnectedness of things, as most activity is in some way interdependent. Underpinned by our diverse experience and body of knowledge, our community development projects and relationships reflects areas where we believe we can strengthen this interconnectedness.

Owner & Director

Aaron Stuart

Nullar Stuart Enterprises Pty Ltd is a 100% indigenous owned incorporated in 2013 by Aaron Stuart. Aaron is an Aboriginal man whose father is of Kati Thunda Lake Eyre heritage from Arabuna and Kuyani. His mother is from Adnyamathanha Flinders Ranges.

Well known in Port Augusta and surrounding communities Aaron has been labelled a champion due to his specialist work with supporting Indigenous people in areas such as suicide prevention strategies and Cultural Holistic Healing Camps, amongst other programs.

Whilst working in youth justice he witnessed first hand the issues trying to elevate some Aboriginal people to achieve their full potential in society. This led to the formation of Nullar Stuart Enterprises and the yearning to support Aboriginal people to understand their true identity, reinforce the importance of culture and heal as a community

In addition to Aaron’s experience and dedication to supporting Aboriginal mental health, especially for men, he also holds a Diploma in Community Service Management and in Leadership. He was involved in the SA Governor’s Leadership Program and received the prestigious Dennis Mutton Medal which recognises outstanding community involvement and ongoing commitment shown post- graduation.

Aaron served eighteen years with the South Australian Police Force receiving the Police Service Medal. He currently assists on the Port Augusta Magistrates court specifically related to advising the Nungar court.

He has served over ten years on the Arabuna Native Title Board of Directors. Along with other Directors his leadership was successful in securing Native Title.

In addition to Aaron’s experience and dedication to supporting Aboriginal mental health, especially for men, he also holds a Diploma in Community Service Management and in Leadership. Currently Aaron is engaged as Senior Ranger with the Central Land Council in Alice Springs.

Areas of activity include in the Northern Territory, Galiwinku, Wadeye, Alice Springs, Mutijulu and Docker River, Mataranka, a majority of the Roper Gulf Communities and Tenant Creek.

In Western Australia he has lived on Billiluna and worked across Balgo, Mulan and Halls Creek. Originally living on the Coober Pedy and the Davenport community in Port Augusta he is involved with project development in these areas including the Marree and Roxby Downs regions.

Having lived and worked on remote communities Wayne has developed a long-term interest in the development of remote health delivery on site cost along with effective, low maintenance remote housing.

Creating meaningful, lasting local employment, increasing local skills and opportunities remains an underpinning objective in all projects.

Successful outcomes rely on delivering a wide range of skills within a cohesive framework. To provide balance and risk management his network includes strong, up to date and capable colleagues from within civil works, corporate advisory, community development and planning. Networks also include finance and business development sectors

Wayne Nicholas

Over 35 years direct service experience, much in regional and remote areas of Australia. Beginning with a community service background his capabilities have grown to include service development and strategic planning, mentoring and advisory services. He is a member of the International Association of Community Development.

Wayne has lived and worked on remote communities for approximately twenty years growing up and later professionally.
